Easter

Here are our egg coloring attempts for the year. Everyone had a great time.

Abby was all about doing it herself. She did a pretty good job.

Emily, of course, had to say "me ter" which means "my turn". She did pretty good too. We only ended up with about 5 majorly cracked. ;)

Here they are in all their finery. The easter bunny brought them both necklaces that had to be worn to church. Luckily the easter bunny did a good job of color coordinating.

Abby was "giving instructions" to Emily about how these pics should be posed. Always the big sister.

Weather Changes

OK so we've had some interesting weather lately. Here is our snowman make on Feb. 27th. We had a great time playing outside and Abby was sooooo sad to see the snow go the next day.

So, by March 2 we hit 70. We went to land between the lakes homestead after church for my B-day. Beautiful weather and a great day.

Aren't they sweet? When they're good together their great, but when they aren't look out.

Then March 8 we built this!!! We had about 5 inches and it was drifting so deep Emily couldn't walk without falling.

Lastly here is a pic of Emily in her hospital provided pjs. Monday the 3rd she stood up on our bed and fell off and gave herself a cuncussion. We took her to the ER as she was sleepy and pale. She got sick ALL OVER herself there so she got these nifty pjs that she wants to wear all the time now. She was fine and back to herself the next day. Dave says he already is too familiar with our ER.

What's New With Us

OK so the first "new thing" with us is our new TV and entertainment center. We needed a new TV and our old entertainment center wouldn't hold one of the same size we had. So Dave bought one big enough for me to sit next to him on the couch and actually see what was happening. We are having too much fun trying to find "pretty things" to put in the cabinets.

Abby decided she needed pretty hair for school and Emily really needed prettys in her hair too. If fact at first I said no and she actually shed some BIG tears, so Mommy gave in. Here they are at their table eating banana muffins. Emily also decided that she had to eat at their table for the first time.

Lastly here they are playing school bus. Abby took the school bus to and from school this week, in the past it's only been coming back from school. Emily stood in the driveway and waved as she left, so playing bus now is a big deal.

One Year and Counting

So 1 year ago yesterday we lost Dad or heaven gained him I guess would be a better way to think of it. It's been a long road and continuse to be a long road. Having Abby ask about him often is a blessing, but also a painful reminder of all that we have lost. So here are a few pics of Dad and the lyrics of a song that I've been singing to myself alot lately.

"Who told us we'd be rescued?

What has changed and why should we be saved from nightmares?

We're asking why this happen

To us who have died to live?

It's unfair.
This is what it means to be held.

How it feels when the sacred is torn from your life

And you survive.

This is what it is to be loved.

And to know that the promise was

When everything fell we'd be held.

This hand is bitterness.

We want to taste it, let the hatred NUMB our sorrow.

The wise hands opens slowly to lilies of the valley and tomorrow.

If hope is born of suffering.

If this is only the beginning.

Can we not wait for one hour watching for our Savior?

This is what it means to be held.

How it feels when the sacred is torn from your life

And you survive.

This is what it is to be loved.

And to know that the promise was

When everything fell we'd be held. "
We all miss you Dad, hope you're having a great time and we'll be seeing you soon.

Preparing for Christmas

Here they are. First off working very hard to be gentle with my Christmas music box.

Here is Abby happily hugging our tree. She was just so happy to have the lights on.

Emily helping to put the sheep in the manger scene. She loves her animals, and baby Jesus is always fussing according to her sound effects.

Here It Is

So I've been meaning to get a new site up and running so everyone can see picks of the girls and keep up with what we're up to. Here's my attempt at that, even though most of you will be seeing us in the near future. Feel free to share it around as I'm sure I don't have everyones emails.
